Poplin eggs are recommended to be cared for as if they were everyday houseplants. Once planted in a sizable flower pot and placed on a windowsill that receives a great deal of sunshine, all that is required are daily waterings and spoken words of encouragement (recent studies have shown that speaking to Poplin eggs will produce healthier hatchlings).
Poplin are odd little creatures that seem to be a hybrid of plant and animal. Every spring they grow leafy tails and ruffs that allow them to absorb the sun's energy, just like that of a plant. During the fall, the leaves wither and are then used as bedding when Poplin hibernate through winter.
