tatanka is lakota for bison. during wwII, the lakota runners were led by my pops across the bering strait, into russia, and behind enemy lines. the runners fondly called my pops mato (bear) as his name was ben be'er (Israeli). lakota runners are known for their cunning running ability when silence must be maintained. we owe so much to the native americans from the runners to the code talkers.

About Bufalus Eggs

This egg was given out for Creature Release Week in January of 2015.

The coarse, shaggy coat on Bufalus eggs provide ample insulation that can endure even the coldest of winters. Two magnificent feathers adorn one of the horn-like protrusions.

About the Bufalus Creature

The impressively large size of the Bufalus makes it one of the largest creatures to roam the grasslands of Ark. The species was very nearly hunted to extinction a couple hundred of years ago, but has since began to recover its numbers thanks to strict preservation laws put into effect by Ark City's Town Hall.
