Crookshanks looked behind his shoulder and he heard the familiar bang of the Tasma's and then their leaders bark. He raced through the grass panting beneath his thick fur, his collar strapped tightly around his neck. He could see his furless calling for him but he ignored her and leaped onto the fence. He flicked his tail absentmindedly and he saw a flicker of a brown speckled glossy coat. Crookshanks leaped off the fence ignoring the pulse to run away. The smell of Tasma's was thick in the air as Crookshanks drew closer but he ignored it but still kept his eyes alert, for anything, everything. He was intent on reaching the brown speckled pelt. Ferns swished quietly behind Crookshanks and he looked back and saw a white pelt race past him and Crookshanks ran faster. A tasma! he urged to call out to Bramblefoot, he knew by the twist of his wings, unable to fly. Crookshanks pelted faster his lungs aching for air and then he had caught up but then Bramblefoot and the Tasma were gone, nowhere. Crookshanks looked looked around rapidly to no avail. They were gone and there was nothing he could do about it.

About Wynerl Eggs

The long, colorfully luscious flow of hair emerging from the center of Wynerl eggs is what draws in and maintains warmth for the developing embryo inside. Once hatched and the shell discarded, the hair is often collected and is incorporated into many decorative pieces during the fall season.

About the Wynerl Creature

Wynerl sleep and sit motionlessly among mountain ridges from the peak of dawn until dusk, absorbing the sunlight's comforting warmth the entire time. At nightfall, Wynerl become active predators and spend until dawn searching for food. An old Ark legend tells of a cunning Wynerl that outsmarted greedy merchants who traveled along mountain trails, managing to steal their goods and bring humility.

It is a common mistake to regard Wynerl as having multiple tails due to the bushy explosion of fur at the rear of its body. In reality, this hairy mass is hiding a single, stubby appendage.
