About Yewefoh Eggs

Yewefoh eggs are incredibly elusive, not just because of how few of them are on Ark, but because of their ability to bend light. The plasma coating on this egg is sleek and glassy, and can refract light in ways that make it look nearly invisible if positioned correctly. The meteorite fragment inside this plasma coat appears to be sentient and can roll the egg from inside to adjust the lighting to avoid being sighted.

Yewefoh eggs also have a strong magnetic property, most likely due to the mysterious meteorite in its center. These eggs show no sign of being close to hatching until the second they hatch. In that moment, their glassy plasma shell is bathed in light, then explodes spontaneously, launching shards everywhere.

Seeing a Yewefoh hatch is a rare and breathtaking sight.

About the Yewefoh Creature

Yewefoh have a strong magnetic pull, even stronger than that of its egg. Seconds after hatching, it begins to pull some of the plasma shards leftover from its decimated eggshell towards it to create a protective field around itself. Throughout its whole life, it looks all over for more shards of crystalline plasma or other objects made of plasma to add to its collection. Once it has amassed enough shards, it begins to refine them using another kind of magnetic charge into a sleek plasma cone around itself. The exact purpose of this cone is currently unknown to Arkians, although Dr. Roswell from the Science and Research Center is working diligently to figure it out.

Yewefoh find themselves pulled towards other objects as often as they attract them; most notably Tenalps. It's not uncommon to see multiple Yewefoh orbiting a single Tenalp like moons orbiting a planet. Yewefoh were once theorized to be a subspecies of Tenalp, but this was disproven as they have far too many subtle differences to be considered as such. Nonetheless, the two are very closely related and get along extremely well together. They can even communicate with eachother using the same telepathic language!

Yewefoh are skittish around humans, but heavily trust Storticai. If a Yewefoh does come to trust a human, however, they will follow them around constantly. Having one follow you is considered good luck, even if it does become annoying as they make a constant beeping sound and crash into things often.
