Vesperūgō: Latin term for a bat or the evening star.

About Clast Eggs

After being laid upon the steep incline of Ark's central volcano, Clast eggs will reach an inner temperature so scorching that the shells bond to the earth itself. Several of these eggs may loosen over time and tumble down the slope towards any adventurous Arkians who have the misfortunate of being in the way.

About the Clast Creature

The Volcano is the very foundation of this species as it is where they will hatch, grow to maturity, breed, and eventually perish. Come nightfall, hundreds of Clasts swoop around the starry sky while disorienting flying insects with their glowing red-hot bodies to capture them. They are sometimes referred to as "dancing embers" by locals because of their close hunting proximity to the Volcano.
