Most people mistake this egg for a rock until its arms start flailing and grabbing for everything within reach. Then most people think that it's a reanimated rock zombie. But it's neither of those things... it's just a Jordev egg that's anxious to hatch soon.
The Jordev ("The Creators of Earthquakes") are an ancient species that grow inside of deep, underground lava rivers beneath The Volcano. It is thought that The Volcano's power is responsible for animating these seemingly lifeless rocks into living beings. Once alive, you can see the fire in their eyes and the average person might be able to guess their main purpose in life: to wreak havoc. Some say that volcanic eruptions on Ark may be caused by warring factions of Jordev. They fight with one another by blasting each other with seismic waves; these seismic waves serve as a catalyst for eruptions.
Jordev rarely surface but when they do, it is a terrifying sight. A clan of Jordev that ascend to the surface can leave craters up to 500 meters in diameter.
