Criticism

I firmly believe that there are problems in EggCave, in many different ways. Some, or rather most have already been discussed plentifully. However, while my opinion is only one of many, one that might very well become lost in a sea of others, I'd still like to say what I believe.

Disclaimer: I am offering an opinion and a suggestion on what I know. If it isn't possible to do something or if you find my opinion wrong, that's absolutely fine.

Minor Issues/Ideas

Would like to be able to see how many there are of a species

More so for the satisfaction and to see exactly how many there are. Since you can submit tickets asking about this, why not just put it in the Archives?

Would like to be able to send/offer only EC

For simplicity and not having to go through the hassle of also offering another item. Also to have easier transfers of EC from accounts.

Would like an easier way to find UFT creatures that are in coves, not trades or auctions

This is one that is a bit of a personal grudge. When I was an uninformed newbie, I was set on getting a Volpe. I had saved up around 3mil EC and with the semi-valuable Wackalamas, I was hoping for a Volpe. However, looking through trades and auctions was futile. Eventually, I started looking through UFT coves. However, I didn't know very many and started haggling with another user that had a Volpe. Eventually I traded for 2 Clorgis, 1 Wackalama, 3 million EC and 50 CC. This I regret. Had I known several things I would have never traded that now. I hold no grudge against the user, only against my own idiotic impatience and lack of information(as well as shyness. I couldn't bring myself to pester older users for help). Had I seen that there were other users selling Volpes, I would have tried them. Volpes were waiting to be sold, but I couldn't find them because they were hiding in UFT coves I knew nothing about. I tried many things, making a topic, posting on my status, but to no avail. Sorry for a rant/tangent, but it feels important to me.

Would like a better introductory page for newbies/an event calendar that list all events and necessary information

Again, referencing the story above, had I known that the Volpe would be resold at the end of the year I would have never rushed. Another problem I had with getting information was my shyness and the lack of thoroughness in all introductory materials. I had no idea that the search feature in user shops existed for a solid few weeks before my dear friend @vibrantglimmer told me. Another thing I had going for me was the fact that a slightly more experienced and a far more confident friend was helping me pave my way. Even with that, I still had so much trouble. Think of people who are all on their own. The Toy Drive takes toys for monthlies. I almost didn't know this at all. Users who are unaware of this might lose out on huge opportunities or other opportunities in different events. A complete comprehensive guide is in order for newbies or returning players to introduce them seamlessly into EggCave.

Would like to be able to see creatures of the species in the Archives/users can have the option of registering their creatures

Similarly to both "seeing how many there are of a species" and "finding UFT creatures" it would be simpler and satisfactory to either search a species and see the creatures/see them listed in Archives, as well as a solution to one of my problems.

Major Issues

Re-release

Re-release is a huge topic dealing with the very base that EggCave is built on. And I believe that base is flawed. Rare creatures are an absolute necessity to keep this game fun and balanced. However, creatures worth over a hundred dollars of actual money are not, nowhere near balanced. I don't think many new, non spending players will be able to finish their wishlist almost ever. EggCave is a game that is fueled by the admiration and envy of other users. However, users that were here from the beginning and still here have a major advantage, while the majority of rare creatures rot in coves. This is not fair to anyone, especially aspiring newbies, which this site needs, due to it actually being a game. No one will stay here forever, so it is in the site's best interests to make it a playable game and not one of frustration.
Pro Re-Release

"It is too difficult to obtain creatures of high rarities without spending an ungodly amount of time, money, effort and even then, you still have to be highly lucky. A newbie will likely quit before achieving their goals, or even be more likely to quit because of this."

This is essentially the base argument for re-release, and as a biased party, I am inclined to agree with this is some form. While re-release may not be the best option for EggCave, I certainly think it's the easiest way, to fix this specific problem, even if it might create even more.

About Terron Eggs

Terron eggs cannot grow or hatch with light exposure. If the egg is exposed to more than 30 seconds of light, the creature inside will die instantly. This is why these birds are so rarely found in Ark. Stay away from the light!

About the Terron Creature

Terron sleep during the day and come out only at night (similar to that of a bat). And boy, they sure do soar the skies at night. And to humans, this is a good thing. An ancient legend tells that if a human were to look upon a Terron's illuminated body, they would become terrified and die of fear. No one has dared test this legend. During the day, Calla rule the skies, but by night, Terron. This is why stargazing is feared in Ark.
