About Fauen Eggs

The first Fauen eggs were found in the ancient pyramids of the Northern Plains (not the Cave). This is why, on its egg, the peacock diamond symbol is depicted atop a pyramid.

About the Fauen Creature

Fauens roam the desert of the Northern Plains and live near the ancient, buried pyramids of the Old Age. The buried pyramids are in the process of being excavated and it is thought that Fauens have a special connection to them. There is not access to the pyramids for public tours; the pyramids are protected as a historical site by the Town Hall in Ark City.

Like many peacocks, Fauens fan out their spectacular tail feathers—called a train—to tempt other hens. They also shake them in a behavior called rattling. Sometimes this is used to ward off predators, too, as Fauens are able to look much larger than they actually are.
