Breezy: she/her
A kind, watchful spirit who roams the bays of Ark.

A long time ago, before even humans existed, before the cave was established as it is, efnis roamed freely. Before they all died out, early species settled in cave-ins and feasted on fish and berries. Many lived in colonies, depending on each other for warmth in the winter and food gathering in the fall. During spring, many of them produced enfi eggs, and most of them hatched once winter rolled around. But then humans came and chopped most of Ark’s trees, gathering the crystals and rocks that enfis stashed in their homes. Without resources, the enfi population slowly reduced to a number of 17 enfis. As the human population grew, one of the remaining enfis, named Breezy, fled her family and home to the shoreside. Gathering her own supplies and constructing a home, Breezy would burrow into the sand and bury her treasures. Living in a small cave, she slowly grew in popularity. Now known as the “Shore Watcher”, people would come on a daily basis to offer her fresh fruits and crystals to let her read their futures. As the years passed, she found a suitable owner and resided with @stargaze, before continuing her journey again.

About Efni Eggs

The Efni egg is actually a chemical experiment gone wrong with a gemstone. Where did a chemical experiment go wrong, you ask? It is none other than at the Science and Research Center in Ark City.

About the Efni Creature

The Efni is a living expression of the opal mineraloid and was created out of an accident at the Science and Research Center in Ark City. The SAR Center, once they had realized that they created something living from a stone, almost terminated the first Efni's life. But they refrained from doing this "for scientific purposes" to study the Efni in its living form.

Scientists and researchers, so far, have found that the Efni's temperament is actually quite agreeable but that there is nothing remarkable about the Efni outside of the fact that it was created from mixing toxic slime with heat and a mineral.

Efnis are able to be "owned" by Arkians but you cannot take one home with you. Efnis must stay at the Ark City Zoo in captivity at all times, so as not to disturb what the SAR Center calls the "natural ecosystem" of Ark.
