About Lafta Eggs

This egg is molten lava except its outer core. It's too hot to touch.

About the Lafta Creature

The Lafta is literally alive lava. No part of its body or brain is connected to its igneous-rock enclosure. Its outer shell is a byproduct of it existing close to other things that contain moisture, like the air.

Laftas dwell on the slopes of The Volcano but aren't aggressive or territorial by nature. The only time that they become violent is if something attempts to remove them from the nearby heat of The Volcano. They need this heat and connection to The Volcano to survive; it is their life source. From this standpoint, Laftas are quite benign and fragile creatures.
