This egg is a single eye that is divided between all things. It sees both the chaos of the dark, and the flow of the light.
The Okapi is divided between the chaos of fire and the flow of water. These opposing energies coexist within the creature, yet each side remains completely blind to the other. This is what makes the Okapi so unsettling to behold and interact with: despite housing such contrary forces, the creature shows no signs of struggle, no inner turmoil. It simply is.
Some engage in a ritual known as "Okapi gazing," in which one stares into the Okapi's eye, searching for a reflection. Many report seeing nothing and only a deep sense of discomfort. Yet others claim to have glimpsed the depths of the abyss, while some speak of witnessing an all-encompassing light.
