This egg can already make facial expressions... it's as if it doesn't even need to "hatch" in the traditional sense. (It still will, however!)
Every Yolkby's life has the same trajectory: one day or another, its egg will eventually crack and its tongue will stick out like a happy puppy. It's important to note that its cracked egg is not edible... that's the Yolkby's tongue, a part of its body.
Yolkbies are the most active around Easter during the day. They enjoy organizing and putting together Easter egg hunts for children in the park in Ark City and occasionally appear in those very Easter egg hunts as themselves.
