Day 30 of being active on EggCave: 9/9/2026

Just returned from my first trip to Chicago. I loved it, but it means there were a good 5-6 days that I was not active here. I was wondering how I should go about the days I don't log in? Do I grab a pet anyway? I decided not to.
I had my first 30s meltdown in Chicago: What am I doing with my life? Where am I going? Why am I here? I've done nothing!

That was dramatic, and it's over. I loved my 20s. I filled it with good people, good trips, and good deeds.
In my 30s I will do the same thing, except I want to put more effort into taking care of myself. I feel like in my 20s I would sometimes go a few months of caring, then I would hit a teensy bit of depression and let it undo all the work I had done for myself.
Not in my 30s! My 30s will be for consistency and doing everything I want to do.
I will have the same friends hopefully, I've kept them for all of my 20s. They joined me on the trip and were there to celebrate me.

About Argaeru Eggs

This egg is soft and woolly and something about it makes you want to trust it. Every so often, you'll hear a faint bell ring even when the egg hasn't moved.

About the Argaeru Creature

At first glance, the Argaeru is a perfectly ordinary sheep. It grazes with the flock, follows the shepherd, and wears a friendly little bell that chimes wherever it goes. It takes most owners a while to notice the teeth. By then, of course, the Argaeru has decided whether you're a friend or dinner.

The old stories warn us about wolves in sheep's clothing but they never explain the bell. Shepherds of Ark say the Argaeru wears it as a courtesy: fair warning for anyone paying attention. Those who hear the chime and think sheep were never really listening to the story. An Argaeru is only ever as harmless as you are careful.
