VEND
Quest Creature
It's been a minute.

I guess I sorta want to get into the habit of journaling. Today I worked pretty hard to get a creature out of the VEND machine. I hyperfocused on it and didn't get up until I got him out. That might not be a very healthy thing for me to do, because I did want to stop and do something different with my day today. But the creature was only there for about 5 more hours. Anyway, when I finally got Calle13, I got up cleaned my kitchen a bit and made a spinach and white mushroom lasagna. Mostly all the ingredients were fresh, with the exception of the lasagna pasta. Overall it was kinda basic, but very edible. It had a whole pound of fresh mozzarella cheese which was the highlight. It was missing basil in the sauce and an extra 2 Roma tomatoes. I thought I had over done it with the black pepper, but it actually wasn't enough. My roommate enjoyed it, but she started giving me ideas that I wasn't really looking for. I don't think I enjoy cooking with other people. It's just for me and I like to focus on everything and think every little detail will matter for the overall dish. I have 4 pieces left. The calorie count came out to approximately 600 calories for 2 squares and 30-35 g of protein. That's pretty solid. It's flavor I need to work on.

I also forgot to add fresh basil to the sauce. My basil plant is sitting on the mantle but I'm afraid she only has a week before my neglect kills her. I'm really hoping my roommate is better at keeping plants alive, than I am. Once I pick up too many hobbies I become overwhelmed and drop every single hobby I've picked up.

I hope that doesn't happen to EggCave because so far I have been active for 21 days straight and I love to watch my critters grow up. Today I have 2 full grown creatures, which I am happy about.

Yesterday I walked to Target and walked back with a 20 lb kettle bell that I bought to work out at home when I get the chance.
On the to do list is: find a sitter for Sativa, clean the living room, pack for my 10 day trip, prepare for my 3 day train ride. I need to pack up Sativa into his smaller cage so he can live with my BFF and her twins for my trip. My roommate is new, so I don't want her hanging out in my room just yet. I don't know her very well and I shouldn't trust her with my pets yet.
For my 3 day train ride I should prepare some over night oats, stock up on some sandwich and salad stuff and maybe take a small growler of my favorite beer for the ride. Oh and I shouldn't forget a good book and maybe a videogame... or maybe not. I would hate losing it in a state I don't live in.

About Asteran Eggs

The Asteran will only hatch when the sunflower is fully grown so many owners keep the eggs in a safe part of their garden where a lot of sunlight can reach it. Even when the flower is not fully grown, the petals will open during the day and close during the night for protection which can confuse owners who do not know this.

About the Asteran Creature

A young Asteran loves to run. It will run around fields of flowers for hours and during this time the Asteran will help pollinate the sunflowers in the field. The sunflower on the Asteran's back helps provide some nutrients but not enough for the creature to survive so a daily meal is required to keep an Asteran healthy.

The Asteran will take a floret from the sunflower head and place it next to its owner. This is a sign that the Asteran loves the owner and the floret should be cherished greatly since the Asteran will only remove one in its lifetime.
