About the Name: Valtiel is an angel in the Silent Hill religion (The Order) and an attendant of God (their god, which is pretty evil). He never attacks the main character in the game (Silent Hill 3, I think), but if she dies, there is a scene of him dragging her body away presumably to resurrect her so God does not die (since she is pregnant with God).
