Named after Firion from Final Fantasy II. His original japanese name "Frioniel" was shortened in the English version due to a lack of letters for the names.

Though living in Fynn, Frioniel is originally from the small town of Salamand, in the far north. It is a country of ice and snow, thus he has gotten used to the constant cold.
