About Meepus Eggs

Meepus eggs make a faint whirring noise, which can be heard if the environment is quiet enough and if there aren't any competing sounds. This whirring sound is difficult to detect by the human ear because Meepus eggs are incubated in the inland freshwater lakes of Ark which are oftentimes surrounded by noisy bugs.

The Science and Research Center is responsible for their incubation and location. Naturally, the Science and Research Center has made a Meepus Egg Detector, but it is not available for public use.

About the Meepus Creature

The Meepus is a genetically-engineered crossbreed of various felines and cephalopods. Meepus DNA has been fine tuned by scientists to manifest what is believed to be the most advantageous traits from both groups. Currently, Meepus populations and their numbers are monitored by the Science and Research Center to determine how effective these traits are in the wild (i.e. they monitor survival).

In terms of temperament, the Meepus is a very aggressive creature despite its cute, feline-like head. The Meepus is protective of its environment, children, and food. Meepuses attack dangerous predators and kill by constricting their victim with their tentacles. The Meepus, however, does not produce any natural toxins or poisons.

Interestingly, Meepuses roar underwater to startle their prey because of their feline instinct. This is known to be their weakest trait when hunting, as most fish are very sensitive to sound waves and vibrations, allowing them to quickly flee.
