idk i think activism on social media is sort of going along with the crowd and doing things to seem woke but also not doing *too* much and like, losing followers, god forbid. but a black square is safe like you're "showing solidarity" but also not being "too aggressive"

i don't know dude earlier there were like 2000s chain mail type "TAG 10 ACCOUNTS WHO WONT BREAK THE CHAIN" on insta stories and literally all it said was "black lives matter" with usernames tagged like HOW IS THAT HELPING. HOW. i hate instagram so much
