A good amount of older creatures are hard to come by, others are pretty much impossible. That doesn't only apply to our new users, it's also users who have been here for many years and simply missed their opportunities. As a fact, older users with rare coves aren't going to trade their creatures for anything less than $100, and in some cases its only one creature for around that price. Some like to complain about how "The creature will lose its rarity!", "I worked hard for this cove so a re-release isn't fair!", and etc. But here's the thing: NOT MANY USERS ARE AS LUCKY. And what I mean is that they might not have the money or creatures to do a trade to get what they want. Or they weren't here to get the creature when you bought it for its original $5. Let us be able to do that too, not insist things stay like this out of your own selfishness.
Nowadays, if you want a creature that's older, the asking price is around 7k-40k CC OR is an equally as rare old creature (that you 98% of the time won’t have either). Who has that kind of money to just use up on 1 or 2 creatures? Please process that what you're asking them for is 100% ridiculous. You can get 10+ CSPs while they get 1 or 2 creatures from you. And the other way of getting those creatures is trading away their whole cove almost to get one, if they even have the right creatures in the first place. I think happiness is better than rarity, and it's also selfish and disgusting to me that some of you are against it because you want people to gush over how great your cove is while you take pleasure from their envy and from knowing that there's an insanely low chance that they can get even a fraction of what you have. The others who push the point of "I spent a lot of money", no one, absolutely NO ONE, told you that you
HAD to do that. You CHOSE to agree to what you paid. Don't be mad that users are deciding to put their foot down on these inflated prices -that you all caused- because we process they're insanely high. And they're way higher now than they were when you got your creatures. It's been over a decade now since EggCave was opened, so it's time for a change. Sooner than later its going to get to the point that no one's going to be trading around more than just a few old creatures, and people who dream of owning one will lose their chance. I've seen so many new people quit because they can't get creatures they want due to people only caring about what THEY spent. It took me 6 years to spend around $410 on 74 creatures on this site (some of that money was spent on Cash shop services and items) and my dreamies list of 7 creatures costs approximately $1240. You're just about insane if you think that's OK. I could pay multiple bills with that money. How much longer does this have to continue before older creatures are unobtainable? Before you all realize you were wrong? I’m still heated about it to this day. I stopped seeing dreamies in the trade center, now I only see them in dead accounts that have been long forgotten or with the very people who fought against a re-release. There’s nothing that a couple users on this site can’t have, so that’s why they don’t seem to know how it feels to look at dreamies anymore. I’ve been here since the times of mostly all of my dreamies, but I couldn’t buy them because I was a kid (namely the Nym, my first actual love on this site) and I didn’t have my own money. My take on everything? It’s a bigger site now: listen the majority vote. And 69% of the site wants a FULL re-release. Would you really leave over that and waste everything you've spent on your entire cove?
