And another thing,if creatures were just rereleased, I would stop buying some of the cc creatures thinking to myself "Hey, it'll probably
despair • 21 Jul 2014, 1:11 PM
just be re-released some other time, it's cool to wait for now"
despair • 21 Jul 2014, 1:13 PM
@poof IF the newer users really wanted a nym or tine they could build their way up. Lots of good creatures can be brought with CC
despair • 21 Jul 2014, 1:15 PM
Also would be a good reason to bring back the cc trading feature. Hopefully they can safely implement it this time to cease the whining.
takaedakumi • 21 Jul 2014, 1:21 PM
@despair, I agree with @poof. What they are saying is, even if the new users had thousands of dollars worth of CC, no one would trade their
takaedakumi • 21 Jul 2014, 1:22 PM
Nym for anything at all these days.
takaedakumi • 21 Jul 2014, 1:23 PM
I believe that Egg Cave is becoming a very greedy place. Older users with retired creatures are so worried about worth that they don't
takaedakumi • 21 Jul 2014, 1:24 PM
care about new users. I personally think re-releases are a good idea but if it's done right. it's not like you have to dump out a lot of
old creatures and render them worthless. Just make a chance for new users to get something they would never be able to
takaedakumi • 21 Jul 2014, 1:25 PM
obtain otherwise.
lily- • 21 Jul 2014, 2:03 PM
@despair You said that there are no examples when it came to re-releasing creatures responsibly, then how about this one:
lily- • 21 Jul 2014, 2:04 PM
We ave the Oasis now. So what if, when it came to CC creatures, they would come every so often, but very very very very rarely as the --

--Oasis does for endangered cave creatures, but if and when you do find that retired CC critter you would still have to pay the original --

--CC price that they were first in the CS shop. Maybe the same critter wouldn't come back. This would put some more in circulation. But--

-- still keep the value up as it would still be hard to get and you wouldn't get it for free. I not saying that this should be implemented--

-- however, I do think something like this would be reasonable. But it's not up to me and there are always other possibilities and ideas 😊

I know everyone is in an awesome discussion about bringing back old creatures. But I hope Im not the only one upset that there was no new...
lunar • 21 Jul 2014, 2:28 PM
Birthday creature to enjoy. Now its gonna be a dull July till August :/
immortalraven • 21 Jul 2014, 2:35 PM
There have been sort of examples for it. Not very specific but some. And I don't think the people saying re-releases are greedy, more so
immortalraven • 21 Jul 2014, 2:36 PM
the people with rare critters that ask for ridiculous amount for old critters that are just pixels are. It has taken a lot of fun out -
immortalraven • 21 Jul 2014, 2:37 PM
of this game from when I first started when it wasn't so centered on values. I've been on a lot of other sites that have no problem -
keeping the values not ridiculous but still keeping it difficult for people to get re-releases and keeping value and rarity balanced -
immortalraven • 21 Jul 2014, 2:38 PM
and fair for everyone and keeping the game fun with less people quitting because again not so centered on values
emilianagerson • 21 Jul 2014, 3:30 PM
I really disagree with old CC cretures being re-relesed. One of the resons I join here was because on another site i was playing they-
emilianagerson • 21 Jul 2014, 3:31 PM
had all the old and rarest stuff come out and now its value is much less. That was one of the resons I quit that site and moved here. ☹️ If-
emilianagerson • 21 Jul 2014, 3:32 PM
Eggcave comes out with the old CC's I would just not buy them. Most likely I would quit Eggcave.
jazzyleia • 21 Jul 2014, 3:57 PM
Yeah, we shouldn't bring back any old CC's. They are released for a certain amount of time and that is what makes them valuable -
- If we re-release them, their value would drop and people would get upset, thus Eggcave would lose a lot of people and a lot of money
spiritkoi • 21 Jul 2014, 4:12 PM
I can't wait until the Thief Shop is open!
turkishdelight • 21 Jul 2014, 7:32 PM
Happy birthday, Egg Cave! 😊
mairbear • 22 Jul 2014, 6:02 PM
Woops, late to the celebrations~ Happy Bday Eggcave 😊 ... sad there doesn't seem to be any creature releases thou :/
takochu • 22 Jul 2014, 8:37 PM
Any info about the oasis?
hendriks • 25 Jul 2014, 3:01 AM
It'd be nice to break the oligopoly on here. It's a way for new people and absent old timers to actually get creatures.
hendriks • 25 Jul 2014, 3:06 AM
As it stands the auctions are owned by those with millions, the trading center is owned by the oligopoly, and of course the cave is limited.
hendriks • 25 Jul 2014, 3:08 AM
So really I see no real issue here. But I'm also on Howrse... and the whining over how "common" divines and unicorns are (sure) is just...
hendriks • 25 Jul 2014, 3:10 AM
Especially since it comes from those who just buy them rather than actually work for them. But what can you expect? Its that crab mentality.
darkskyazray • 27 Jul 2014, 5:50 AM
Well... I'm an older user. I love my old creatures but I also like to see endangered species again. So I like this idea to give new users
darkskyazray • 27 Jul 2014, 5:51 AM
the chance, even if it's very hard, to get the older creatures which are nearly impossible to trade.
bot • 27 Jul 2014, 10:17 AM
Hooray! No one cares about items.
metaphor • 1 Aug 2014, 10:49 PM
Everything @takatheeducatedkid said is truth. There's a difference between wanting valuable creatures and just being outright greedy, which

is frankly what a lot of people crying over non-detrimental and responsible re-releases seem to be to me.
metaphor • 1 Aug 2014, 10:51 PM
@jazzyleia No, no, no, no, no. Their value will not "drop." Their supply with rise, yes, but as the site grows, those same popular creature
s will be in demand. Oh remember that Christmas re-release awhile back? Remember how detrimental that was? Yeah, you're lucky to find a Foo

in the TC. ooooh, value decrease! This is going to sound blunt, but I'm rather sick of trying to explain these things to people who are so
set on "oooh, pretty rare things! MINE!" that they are unwilling to understand basic economic concepts.
metaphor • 1 Aug 2014, 10:59 PM
Also, despair, I have given an example multiple times (the Christmas re-release; foos and florns are still incredibly elusive). And I really

don't like when people say that those who agree with re-releases are just whining because they "can't get the creature." I don't mean to

brag, but objectively speaking, my cove is pretty valuable. I have a lot of highly sought after creatures (Onny, frozen tine, nym, gobbler,

etc.) and I feel that re-releases in some form would help save EC's economy. When new members realize they have to spend hundreds of dollars
