The word poltergeist comes from the German words poltern (to make noise) and Geist (ghost), and the term itself literally means "noisy ghost".

Most reports of poltergeist manifestations involve noises and destruction that have no verifiable cause. Situations include inanimate objects being picked up and thrown; noises such as knocking, rapping, or even human voices; and physical attacks on human beings, such as pinching, biting, and hitting.

Say . . . what's that noise downstairs?

About the Ghosty Creature

Every year, Egg Cave is visited by at least one ghost. The ghost only visits Egg Cave in October. From year to year, the ghost changes and communicates a different message to everybody. Some are more friendly than others, while there are those that are flat out spooky.

The Ghost of Year 1 and Year 2 spoke these words: "Useeee theee IDs iiiin the alphabetttt."
