The Cave, Mysterious Asteroid and Oasis are where you can get eggs, but the chance of getting something from the Asteroid or Oasis is very low.

Commons are creatures that will always be in the Cave. They won't earn you much, but they will cost you EC and a lot of cove spaces - I don't recommend getting an excessive amount of these from the Cave. When I first started, I obtained my commons everyday, not knowing they weren't worth much, and they took up my whole Cove. I desperately needed space for more creatures, especially monthlies and retired creatures. So I opened two side accounts. The problem with side accounts is you tend to forget about them and the creatures there are likely to starve and die without a Leaf of Vaka (which you can buy in the Cash Shop with 500CC). You can also use Tim's Food Shoppe, except it's very costly. If you decide to do this, I have a trick- you can pay for one day and get your refund. It will cost you some EC, but your creatures' happiness will be booted to 100 percent. TLDR, I don't recommend getting commons because you get attached to them but they aren't worth much and they take up Cove spaces. It's still okay to get a few though. c: Save your space for monthlies, seasonals and other limited-time creatures.

ᴛʀᴀᴅɪɴɢ
The trading center and auctions are places where you can find creatures for sale / for trade. Auctions tend to get a bit aggressive depending on the sold creature(s)/item(s), be careful! I'd recommend staying till the very last second and submitting a high bid in the last 2-3 seconds. You can gift creatures to people by going to your Creatures > Transfer Requests > Create New Transfer. A phrase you will see often is "UFT", which means "Up For Trade" (similar to this is "UFA", meaning "Up For Auction", though "UFT" is more of an all-encompassing term).

ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴄɪᴇs
There are three currencies. EC, CC, and XC. EC is the easiest to get, but very time-consuming. You can get these from feeding coves. I would recommend you deposit all of your on-hand EC into your strongroom vault, so that you can collect interest (free EC!) every day. This deposit will not be available to you if your EC is on-hand. CC can be bought (with real money) or traded. 1 million ec is approximately equivalent to 100CC. CSPs (cash shop parks) are what we call creatures that are sold in the cash shop. Monthly CSPs cost 500CC, while LEs(limited editions) usually cost 200CC. Rereleases are CSPs from previous years, available for 1000CC. XC aren't really counted as a currency, it's more of a point system. You can earn XC from using the Click Exchange to click creatures. Just hold your command / ctrl key and click all the creatures, then feed them. You can cmd+W / ctrl+W to close the tab and move on to the next creature. That you can feed and click, and earn EC and XC at the same time! Your earned XC can be spent by putting creatures you want to evolve in the Click Exchange. You can put at most 20 creatures into the Exchange. Each click they get will cost you 1 XC.

Creatures need to be fed to be kept alive, unless you use Tim's Food Shoppe or have a Leaf of Vaka. Feeding and clicking creatures also increases their stats, allowing them to evolve and develop. Oftentimes you will see the phrase "feed-friendly" on someone's profile or status, which means that you can feed or click the creatures in their cove. Some prefer not to have their creatures evolve, and most of these times, it will be explicitly mentioned in their profile or status. When someone feeds your creatures, it is common courtesy to thank them for the feeds, or feed their creatures back (if their cove is feed-friendly).

You can find information on each species in the Archives.

Monthlies are monthly creatures. They are available for one month only - then they're gone forever, unless EggCave mods decide to bring them back via the VEND machine. There are two monthlies every month, available in the Cave. Cash Shop creatures (commonly referred to as CSPs) are similar to monthlies, but only obtainable through the
Cash Shop for 500CC.

The
VEND machine is where you can get retired creatures. You can also get endangered creatures from the Oasis, but those are quite rare, and are typically creatures that were previously available in the cave as commons. To earn VEND tokens, you have to complete quests, which you can find under the Games tab. To complete a quest, all you need to do is find the item(s) that the character tells you to get. You can find the(se) item(s) in User Shops or the shops.

The SARC is where we raise funds for new creatures, and also where you can buy creatures for a fixed price. The Thief Shop is where you can get mystery eggs. The chance of getting an actual egg is very rare and the shop actually starts off by selling them as "mystery eggs". Sometimes they are actual eggs but most of the time they are fake (basically you waste your EC and get nothing). In the Donations Center you can find items that generous players have donated. There's a 1 minute cooldown for collecting these items.

The forums are where you can talk about practically anything. There are giveaways, contests, forum games, roleplays, creature suggestions and more!

EggCave also holds many special events throughout the year like the Dragold's Den, the Easter Egg Hunt, the Hidden Gobbler Hunt, the Halloween Fair or the Advent Tree etc. You can earn cool prizes from those!
Every year in January there's something called Creature Release Week, where EggCave releases a brand-new species every day of the week, and after the last day, all those new creatures will be available in the Cash Shop for 200CC. Afterwards, they will retire indefinitely.

About Orciel Eggs

The more sunlight an Orciel egg is exposed to, the faster it will hatch. It is also thought (but not confirmed by the Science and Research Center in Ark City) that the more sunlight the egg receives, the more the fur coat of its hatched stage will shine later on in life.

Research is ongoing into the optimal amount of sunlight Orciel eggs should receive.

About the Orciel Creature

Orciels, also known as the "Golden Sky Foxes", are sharp-minded creatures whose fur coat shimmers in the sunlight. They make excellent pets and companions but it should be known that they have extremely high energy levels and require a lot of exercise to be worn out. An Orciel that is left to themselves can become a naughty and rambunctious nuisance in your home, so be sure that they have a lot of toys to play with (or get another Orciel for them to play with) to ensure that they are properly stimulated and entertained.

Orciels are extremely nimble and agile; they use their claws with great precision and dexterity, making them great hunters of household pests like mice.

If you're looking for an engaging pet in your home, the Orciel is the choice for you.
