About Nyanka Eggs

Nyanka eggs are round and shiny, with a soft gleam of white in their orange-patterned coats. Its tail curls beneath to nestle it comfortably on Arkian steps.

Nyanka eggs are littered all over Ark City. They are usually found among deteriorating store-fronts, often when a shop's owners are away. After a Nyanka egg is found, it is brought inside the store, where the owners would ritualistically swaddle it with blankets among little gold pieces in order to encourage its hatching.

About the Nyanka Creature

Nyankas are the symbol of prosperity in Ark and are believed to bring their owners wealth and good luck. Therefore, many store owners usually rejoice after the appearance of a Nyanka, as it would signify a new beginning and new fortune. However, Nyankas do not just benefit their owners; they spread luck to all. It is a reason why Nyankas often appear near failing stores. This is to spread luck where there is no luck. Customers usually flock to stores with newborn Nyankas believing that they will benefit from their aura of luck and prosperity.

Newborn Nyankas are shy, especially in front of customers, and so they would often claim the nearest gold coin to shield themselves from any form of association. However, with time, as Nyankas become more comfortable in their environment, they become more amicable towards customers and would often help out the store owners. Therefore, Nyankas are a common sight in Ark stores, where seasoned Nyankas clutch items in their mouths, or paw mice, and although sometimes they cause accidents, it is all in the name of helping their homes. However, a Nyanka's “claimed” gold coin will usually remain in its mouth when it is not helping around because it is a familiar and loving comfort of warmth and home.

It is no secret that Nyankas are particularly entranced with golden coins and as their owners' prosperity grows so does a Nyanka's interest in them. It is common practice to “tip” a Nyanka for their help around the store and so Nyankas amass a pile of golden coins, often where the sunlight is, as they enjoy basking in the warmth and in the glittering coins. Confident Nyankas make their homes behind the storefront windows, and it is with encouragement from their owners that Nyankas flourish in the windows, encouraging Arkians to enter its store.
