"It often upsets me that as a child, no one in school or at home educated me about what I was really eating. That as a teen, when I finally connected the food on my plate to the pain and suffering of another living being, it was limited to chicken, meat, fish and other animal flesh. It took me many more years to understand that the milk we’re forced to drink as kids, the cheese we relish, the butter, cream, paneer, ghee, eggs, honey we thoughtlessly consume, are the products of unjustifiable animal exploitation.

"I won’t go into the gory details today (a simple google search will reveal all or ask me in the comments). Or tell you how heartbreaking it is, every single day, to know that billions of animals are being tortured to please our taste buds. But I will share that this September, I marked 4 years of being vegan. Despite being on the road, living out of 2 bags, having limited access to a kitchen, traveling to a wide range of countries from the Dominican Republic to Iran, mostly relying on other people to feed me. If I can do it, so can you 💚"
