About Ilknis Eggs

Be careful holding an Ilknis egg as the tail can move and harm those nearby. The translucent scales appear as a deep purple with striking green scales The scales occasionally fall off and are replaced by brighter and stronger scales and this will continue until the egg hatches.

About the Ilknis Creature

One of the most dangerous pets in Ark, Ilknis eggs can be collected from the bottom of the ocean to be sold to those bold enough to try wrangling this species. Ilknis are territorial to a fault and will even attack inanimate objects if the items float too closely. Sometimes Ilknis teeth will naturally fall out and wash up onto beaches and Arkians will use the material in necklaces and other clothing.

When hunting, the Ilknis will produce a special protein in their tail to emit light and this light will attract their prey. Interrupting a hunting Ilknis will cause injury and it is recommended to never enter any territory marked as Ilknis habitat.
