I was just wondering what the difference is between Clicks and Views... I see some eggs with 1,000 views but only 200 clicks, what's up with that? Sorry if this has already been posted on, I'm lazy and don't feel like Archive Hunting 😋.

You only gain a click if someone clicks your adoptables and your creature gains a view for every page he is seen on!

@albinotiger Yes, when you post your eggs on forums and such, (http://new.eggcave.com/cove/easycode) an image of the creature shows up, and it can gain views but not be clicked or fed. Because by having an image on the page, people a viewing it. And each individual ip address only count as 1 view per day. Therefore your view of a creature only counts once each day. Also, views don't update automatically, they update once each day at 3 am ECT! Hope I made everything clear, and hope I helped.

Also, whenever you post on the Site Blog, someone's profile or the forums, you gain views. You can gain clicks if a person clicks your eggs, but they always don't.

But remember, views don't count if they're on the Leaderboards or in the Trading Center

So if I click on, let's say @icymuffin, and go to her profile, all her creatures get views???

A literal creature view is when a creature image is loaded. Plan and simple. It's logged as a view.

A creature gets a click when a user visits the respective click URL (i.e. http://eggcave.com/click/YOUR_EGG_ID_HERE). This URL forwards to your egg profile's page, so you don't generally see it. But you'll notice that all Cove codes and EasyCode codes contain this link so it counts clicks to your creature.

Hope this clears things up. 😊

So would linking directly to an image as in linking to an image url would do any good to the egg?
