Crazy how things happen so fast.I wanted to try a hard-boiled egg, so my mom put a few eggs in a pot to boil. There are four burners on my stove, and one of the back burners was turned on to boil the eggs.Little did I know the front ones were on too.I went to check on the eggs, and put my hand on the stove. Then stupid little me decided to test the front burners to see if they were on by putting my hand right on top of it.Long story short, I felt a really sharp, burny pain in the middle finger on my right hand, And I ripped my hand off the stove. I'm surprised I didn't shriek in pain. I just held it in.I ran to the freezer and put ice on my finger, but it just hurts even more.So right now, the middle of that finger is numb, sore, swollen, and turning dark red... So, there goes my night. Dang stove. >.<Do you guys have any burn-experiences like that?

Aw man... DxYOUCH!I don't remember getting burned. Well, once I ate something really hot and it burned my tongue. The whole week my tongue felt weird.

@Rosey77 Haha, a few months ago I made Hot Chocolate some where, and when I thought it was cooled down enough, I took a huge sip. Literally scorched my toungue. It was sore and blistery for an entire week.I'm just not good with cooking... Or warm objects... Or stoves... Or burning liquids... 😋

Well, one time I just really was truly an idiot, and if you think it too, just say it to my face, I'd rather have you say "YOU IDIOT! HOW STUPID ARE YOU!?!?!?" than just have you think it.I was at my grandparents house alone in the living room, they have this big fireplace, and it was going, and I was just watching t.v. when suddenly, a cinder jumped out of the fire, a charred, chunk of soot is what I think it was. So I get up, and I have no clue how I'm gonna get rid of it. So I decide to toss it in the fire.Using my hands.I picked it up, I think I cursed, an threw it in the fire, and ran to the sink. I had a blistered finger, lol...Once while my family was on vacation Upstate at the log cabin my grandparents own, my sister caught the plug in toaster after she tripped on the cord. She saved my english muffins, but had some baddish burns on both hands XPFeel better!!!@dreamer

@dreamer Errr I don't think you're supposed to put ice on it O_O Run cold water over it is my advice 😋

@dreamer For burns, it is most beneficial to put burns in cold water. Ice shocks the nerves already affected by the burn and can cause prolonged pain.A couple of years ago, I was using a soldering iron for a project in school and it accidentally touched my arm. The skin was cooked nicely.. The weird thing is that it left a heart-shaped scar. 😋

Once, I wanted to see how hot a lightbulb was. So I touched it. And burned my middle finger. I literally had ice on my finger the rest of the night. A week later, there was a blister that covered the whole tip of my middle finger, and on the way to soccer practice, it popped. Gross. When I was really little, I touched the oven. My dad yelled at me. Thanks dad.

Yeah, stuff like that is why I only mess around with the toaster. XD I heard somewhere that if you turn the toaster on its side and put cheese on top of your bread, you get grilled cheese! I haven't tried it yet, but now I really want to... XD

Put cold water on it! @dreamer Ice helps but can hurt afterwords.@Zac I know how you feel 😉 We were building our solar cars in industrial tec a couple weeks ago and our teacher kept saying "Don't touch ANY metal on the soldering irons." Once I was using an exacto knife and someone bumped me out of the way... The soldering iron was conveniantly right there for my finger!😸
