Does anybody know how to calculate a final grade? Like, if something is worth 10% of your grade and you get a 72% on it, and if you get an 88% on something worth 15% of your grade, and a 76% on something worth 25% of your grade, how would you go about finding your final grade off of all that?

I'd like to know which class I should stress out over most right now...

@smartie2742- I don't know how to explain... But I sorta get the concept for an 11-year-old. XD The grade you get make it out of 100% and uh.... Well, maybe you need all eras of your grade that make up your grade. XD Don't trust me on this one. xP

To find the average you have to find the mean and you do that by adding up all of your precentages and divide the total by the amount of numbers you added together
Ex:
3+7+2+8= 20

20/4= 5
5 would be your average
@tirsh your somewhat right before you do that you must have them in percents out of 100 if they aren't say you got a 48out of 50 you could just divide it.
48/50= 96

Yeah, Idk. Fifth-grade-math usually doesn't get TOO TOO complicated. xD But, well, we took a test with 10 question once, so if we got one single question wring, it took 10% off our score. O_O Because 10*10=100 which is pretty obvious. >.>

@smartie2742

Create an equation somewhat like this

.1(grade in category) + .25(grade in category) + ... = final grade

Substitute the numbers of course. Keep in
Mind the ratios (.1 and .25 etc) must add to equal 1.

This equation can also be used to solve for a particular test grade needed to achieve a certain final grade.

If you want an a set the equation like so

.1(unknown) + .25(grade in category) + ... = .9

And solve for the unknown
