a billionare lived at the top of a 45 stories tall apartment. Everyday he took the elevator down, went to work, and said hi to his doorman. When he got back from work, he went up the elevator half way and walked up the stairs the rest of the way. Why?

Because the doorman was on the elevator and he didn't want to say night to him so he walked the rest of the way up.

Henry really liked the doorman but didn't like the other people who lived/worked in the building and they all lived on the first half.

So to avoid them, he walked the rest up.
