When I go to delete old wall posts I have no issue up to the point were you have the option to check the box that prevents the page from making the pop up. When I click the box I can no longer delete things. I click the delete button and nothing happens. ☹️ It is quite annoying. Can anyone try this and see if it isn't working for them as well? I use firefox by the way.😊

@NkiayIt's working fine for me, but I use Chrome.

Hmm☹️

What it sounds like, to me, is that you are preventing pop-ups on your wall. Since when you delete a comment you must confirm that you want it deleted in a pop-up, I assume that this is where your problem is arising. If there are no pop-ups allowed on the page, you can not confirm the deletion of the comment, and therefore the action can't take place. If you want to fix the problem I suggest enabling pop ups from that page. This is my understanding of your problem. Please correct me if I'm reading it wrong.

@nikay I believe @plookle is correct. The option that your browser gives you to hide popups just hides them, it doesn't get rid of them. Our server requires your confirmation to delete comments and it never receives that confirmation because you can't see the popups. 😊It does seem slightly irritating at times, but in the long run it prevents countless errors! 😃

That's what happens to me too. (= but when I refresh it's back to normal.

@plookle @zacI get the pop up for a confirmation. I can delete things that way with no problems. The issue is after, ten I think, the pop up gives you the option to no longer allow pop up on the page and then you can delete things freely without a confirmation. For some reason after I check the box and say okay, I can't delete anything. I have to refresh or it doesn't work.Does that make more sense? It's quite a weird issue and I've never been that great at getting the fine detail across. 😊@yogurtThank god it's not just me. That's what it does for me too.

@nkiayI'm still not sure if I completely understand your situation, but it is my understanding that conformation is always required before deleting any comment, for as zac said, this prevents countless errors. I can't give you a perfectly conclusive answer since I have never had the problem you seem to be having, but I imagine it is a response of your browser itself and not Egg Cave. The only thing I can suggest is that you stop checking that box, as it is going to prevent you from deleting comments.

@nkiayIf you want to keep deleting comments easily from your profile, don't select the "do not allow more pop ups from this page" option when you receive it. Checking this box indeed blocks the confirmation popup that you have to follow through in order to actually delete a profile comment.

Ah, alright that makes sense. Did this change though? I seem to remember after checking the box I was able to delete posts without any popups.

@nkiayNothing has changed on our end. But the browser functionality may have changed. 😉If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me directly. Topic closed.
