The Vocabulary Thread

Today, in language arts, we started reading "the Christmas Carol" and there is some gruesome vocabulary in it. That inspired me to make this thread that will help you learn new vocabulary words. The post format to retain vocabulary word is:

(Put word here)
Definition- definition of the word above

(Use it in a sentence that's part of the current conversation)

So let's start the vocabulary conversation now.

Word- Emphatically
Definition- expressed or performed with emphasis.
