#1 Because then, if you don't like the creature all that much, you could trade for one you actually want.

#2 Because, depending how much you spend CC, you could -possibly- have a pretty good supply to buy newer CC.

My first choice was 2 but then I thought it would take a while to use it up and by that time the person might have quit or forgotten and spent it or something might happen to it... If you go for 1 you could trade the creatures for cc as you go instead of hoarding it all at once on someone else's account...
