Before I begin, I need to say: NORTON IS AWESOME. My computer was thretened by malicious sites three days in a row, and Norton immediately blocks them and tells me about it a minute after. I highly reccomend.

Anyways, when I had just gotten my laptop, it came with a free three-month trial of Norton. But FIVE months later, I kept getting pop-ups, constantly telling me to renew my Norton membership.

But it wasn't from the real Norton.

I could tell, because some of the 'Norton' pop-ups would have a picture of a zombie and say: "Friends don't let their computers turn into zombies." There would be some with pictures of skull and crossboes, some with fire, and all with a freaky message.

These popups stopped for three days, and then I got a deadly case of Malware. My dad fixed it and then I got another malware attack, after that my mom renewed my Norton membership.

Ever since, my virus security is gold. But I have a question:

When I was getting those weird norton pop-ups, do you think they were the real Norton, or a malware impersonation? I have no idea.

@dreamer, They might have been real, I think in computer terms, having your computer get turned into a zombie is when you get a virus, then someone uses your computer to help to crash websites (or something like that). lol I did IT for a while as a subject, I still really don't know what I'm talking about 😋
