Also, college essays suck. I try to imagine I'm developing a character for a pet, just as myself, as pathetic as that sounds, but it's just not working. I don't want artificial writing. Seriously, it annoys me more than writing with horrible grammar and spelling. Yeah, that's annoying too, but it's something that can be fixed easily. Empty writing...it's something you have to feel to cure.

Like I've been reading examples online and I really like this one. I want to write something like this:

This, I like the style of writing and the basic idea. But it seems a bit stilted with its language, particularly in the middle paragraphs. However, it overall seems to come straight from the heart:

What I mean, basically, is writing that is all talk and no real emotion or personal attachment. And this is coming from someone who absolutely hates sappy, sentimental writing that relies solely on the reader's emotional reaction to determine if it's good or not. On the other hand, I hate when I feel like I have to force what I'm writing.

I'm trying to write about poetry and science, lol.
I decided that it's definitely what I'm going to go with.
I just have to figure out how I'm going to convey it without sounding like a pompous idiot...or even "too humble."

Wow, it already sounds nerdy.
