You put your scroll name under 'Scroll Name' Then you check all your dragons and say 'Ok' What's your scroll name?

@snow_angel618
@himitsutenshin

Firstly your eggs only hatch, when they are 3 days and 23 hours old and only if they have enough views.
To get views you need to put them on click sites:-
http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Click_Sites

If they don't hatch after that time they are considered to be emergency eggs so need to go on ER, basically more click sites so they hatch:-
http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Emergency_Rooms

Sometimes eggs get sick because they've had too many views (this can happen with hatchlings to) so you need to fog them so they son't get any clicks until they're better again. Than you need to put them back on click sites.

For more help and info you can ask, or go through this site, it helped me when I joined:-

DragCave is really a site that you get used to over time.

The dragon cave wiki does help a lot, though. ^^

Dragon Cave is an adoptables site, like Egg Cave. However, Dragon Cave involves getting your eggs to hatch by receiving views, or it will die. They rely primarily on "unique views," given each time a person views it who has not viewed it before. You can do this by putting links to your scroll in signatures or other places; however, the best way is to put them on click sites. You can find a list of click sites here:
http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Click_Sites

It's best not to put eggs or hatchlings under a day old on click sites because they are prone to softshell and sickness. It's still possible that they can become sick after one day, so don't view-bomb them.

When searching for eggs, they are usually most plentiful on the hour and on five-minute intervals.

If you catch a certain amount of eggs or hatchlings, you must wait until some hatch or grow up before getting more. If you reach the limit, you are "scroll locked." The limit varies depending on your scroll trophy level, which increases as you get dragons. Having no trophy lets you have four eggs and a total of twelve eggs and hatchlings.

You can use actions on a dragon, such abandoning, killing, breeding, and naming. Some actions, such as abandoning, can only be used on eggs and hatchlings. Others, such as breeding, can only be used on adults.

@ladybugheart thanks! also, how do you prevent the dragon egg from being seen? (I think it's called fogging or something)

Some actions can only be used by specific dragons. Magis can teleport eggs to other scrolls, and Pinks can influence an egg to be a certain gender. You can find a list of actions here:
http://dragcave.net/help/actions

Lineages are similar to a family tree. Short or pretty lineages and CBs are generally more sought out than dragons with longer, messy lineages. CB refers to dragons with no lineage that were found in the cave. Lineage types include stairstep (http://dragcave.net/lineage/mOIT), even-gen (http://dragcave.net/lineage/4dXn), and spiral, similar to stairstep but with the genders alternating with each generation.

Here is a list of all dragons. It's a good idea to try to memorize all of the egg descriptions and what dragons they are. Neglecteds and Hollies are some of the rarest dragons. Lineage also plays a part in rarity.
http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Types

Guardians of Nature can only be received by catching a Thunder, Ice, and Magma, also known as the Legendary Trio, and using the "summon" action. There is an 11% chance that your summon will be successful.

And in order to prevent your egg or hatchling from receiving views, UVs, and clicks, you can use the "hide" action, also called fogging. You can also choose to hide your entire scroll or all adults under "account settings."

Holiday dragons can only be obtained around their holiday. There is a new dragon found in the cave for each holiday every year. After the year of their release, they can be obtained by breeding. All holiday dragons with the exception of Halloween have a limit of two of each breed. Holidays Dragon Cave celebrates are Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Halloween. There's usually an egg hunt around Easter and some sort of trick on April Fool's day, too.

You can breed a dragon once every week. They will produce an egg of either the mother or father's breed. They may also produce multi-clutches of up to four eggs, particularly on holidays. However, some dragons can breed to produce an entirely new dragon. Blunas, Shallow Waters, and Geodes are some of the dragons that can only be obtained by breeding.

TJ Lipscomb, also known as TJ09 or just TJ, is the creator of Dragon Cave. His scroll is hidden.

Dragons related to TJ's are known as "Thuweds". Dragons related to Midas Dorkface and Shallyna'ar are known as "Dorkfaces". Here's an example: http://dragcave.net/lineage/gdru

Hope this helps!
