Blackstar turned to Foxfur. "No I won't! And Foxstar won't either!" She paused. "Oh yeah, you weren't here for that. I am - er, was - Starstream, and Foxstar there," she tilted her head in his direction, "used to be Wolfclaw. Then, he changed into a fox, and became Foxstar, and apparently there's a Foxclan and he's leader...and the same happened to me, but I'm a panther, and I'm Blackstar now, and I'm leader of PantherClan. And Bluestar here says that me and Foxstar are going to stop being friends and fight each other."

"I - I don't think so." Blackstar looked at Foxstar, then at Foxfur. "Look - remember earlier? We made a pact. A decision. We were going to become a legendary trio of cats, sometimes helping, sometimes killing. We had it all planned out. But then stupid so-called DESTINY got in the way. First Foxstar changed and became oh-so-important, then me, and then we were told we would stop being friends, and go to war against each other... I don't care if it's true or not!" she shouted. "Our life together was going to be PERFECT, and then it just got SHOVED OUT OF THE WAY! Like some mousebrained KIT!" She turned to Bluestar and glared at her. "And yes, I did just call kits mousebrained. That's what you think we are, right? You think we're just some STUPID, MOUSEBRAINED KITS who you can simply mold into whatever you want us to be! You think you can make us leaders of our own Clans, make us dislike each other, effortlessly! You...you...you make me sick! I won't dance to your tune! I won't let you force me to do something I don't want to do! I won't let you make me who I don't want to be! Blackstar? Hah!" She spat on the ground. "I don't need your STUPID," she spat, "names and your STUPID," she spat again, "DESTINY! My shape may be changed, and there's nothing I can do about that, but I'm still Starstream and I'm still me! And I'm STILL going to do what we planned to do, even if the others," she turned to both of them, eyes tearing, "don't." She stalked out of the clearing.
