Kso, my birthday is in April [It's the third] and I'm trying to get rid of most of my acne, like a goal

My problem is medicine seems to hate me, I'm allergic to every medicine I've used; I either break out in hives, or get a bad rash.

So, I was wondering if people have any tips for me?
Like home remedies/washes - stuff that doesn't involve actual medicine.

To give you an idea of my skin;

It's oily, but dry. [So I'm looking for moisturizing ideas. I can keep the oilineess down, but then my dry skin gets worse]
I tan easily, and if I get a sunburn it turns into a tan. [Dunno if that helps, lolol]

Food you eat is a major player when it comes to acne. Dairy products of any sort, caffeine, processed foods, food with a lot of fat are some examples.

There are books about food and its effects. Acne is just one of them. You can probably find more info online as well.

@Gvantsa

My dermatologist said my diet is fine, because it's.. balanced [Can't remember exactly what he said]

He thought I have a hormone imbalance, and I fit in it like a text book case, but test came back saying nope.

@cafe Big no-no: CHIPS.

Have you ever used those oil wipes? They wipe off the excess oil. πŸ˜‹

Or steam a clean wash rag, it opens pores. 😸

DRINK GREEN TEA. XD 'drinking green tea to naturally get rid of acne. Green tea has been known to fight bacteria and improve over-all health. It has very strong antioxidant content to clean out the body and many healing properties. Green tea can be taken in pill form or powder form.'

Rub yo skin in lemon before bed. *3*

@Cafe I'm not exactly sure how to help you, but I can givee tips. 😱

I breakout a lot, mainly and severely on my chin, on the bridge of my nose, and on my forehead. I got a few facials and bought special lotions, but they didn't seem to help much.

Another reason they said was touching your face. Since your hands have that natural salt and oil, putting your hands on your face can encourage acne (i.e. I stroke my chin a lot to feel my pimples and more come up).

However, this may be different for you because the lady at the spa said I have amost no pores on my face because they're so small, so it may be easier to stop acne. So there's a possibility your pores might be different?

What I do is just leave my face alone. No constant rubbing, no lotions, no remedies. They go away on their own. But if I do see more coming up, I will put cream on once in a while, but mine leave on their own.

I think chocolate can cause breakouts. Not really sure. πŸ˜‹ That's what my dad says. But I can' trust my dad because he's only ever had one pimple in his life as oppose to my.... Let's say 60.

As for the tanning thing. Lol. I CAN NOT tan. 10 minutes in the sun will turn my skin red. I've tried tanning several times, and all I got was my shoulders and back being stiff and red, and I'd have to pile on the freezing creams to soothe sunburns. But that's different. xD

@cafe lol, your skins like mine, dry and oily πŸ˜‹ That, and unless my burn's bad, it turns to tan too XD

I suggest lots of water, it'll be good for your hair and skin, and won't tint your teeth like juice might😊
Also my teacher(Who just had to point out our acne! DX) Said to splash warmish hot water on your face to open your pores, use the fash-wash you use, more warm water to rinse it off, then splash cold water to close the pores😊 Oh yeah, I find using a 'Burt's Bee's Blemish Stick'
somewhat helps, but you need to rub in a dab of lotion after you use it😊

@trish maybe i'll try that *.*

@iridescent

I actually wash my face in hot water with my cleanser, and then clean it off with cold water

It gets rid of the oils, but then my face feels all tight and stuff. So I need maybe some ideas on a moisturizer?

@Trish

Greentea?
Haven't tried it
//Writes down//

@Dreamer

I touch my face a lot, out of habit. I'm actually stopping myself as I'm watching a movie on the computer right now. But now I know I'm not the only one xD

Thanks guys
Imma lay down in a minute, so if I stop talking that's why

@Cafe Yeah, I heard a lot of people do that. But it's a habit for me, because I usually can't see all my pimples in the mirror. All see some red spots on my chin, and I'll rub it and there are even more. πŸ˜‹

*sigh* I remember my first pimple... Right in the middle of my forehead. Ouch. Some kid in the fifth grade wanted to poke it with a needle... T_T One time I rubbed a bunch of coats of lemon lip balm on my face on purpouse. Because I wanted pimples. But look who's laughing now? The lip balm. xD

My pimples weren't bad *at all* until I did that to myself.

And I also have a spot on my cheeck, below my eye. I thought it was a little mole. But when I went to a facial she said it was a big group of blackheads that were deep down under my skin. she got some out, but the rest were still there. So squeezing out blackheads (they're dirt and oil collected in your pores, they aren't actually black, when you squeeze them out it looks like a tiny speck of a worm) can help too, because they turn into pimples.
