Jinx gave a fake shriek as she swatted away at the cucumber, teleporting to the other side of Aphrodite. She laughed, shaking her head with a relieved smile. She was at least starting to make potential friends.

Matthew looked over at Aphrodite, her cherry red lips curved into a sweet smile. He was almost able to smile back as he watched the flame rise. She reminded him of someone. Shattered memories arose again, swarming him with words, feelings, senses. A flash of blue-black hair, the sweet scent of her perfume... Matthew flinched, opening his eyes back to reality.

Aphrodite: I grin and glance at Matthew. "hmm.. Well, the rest of us already had dinner, but if you two are hungry..." I trail off, motioning to the mansion/house.

Jinx suddenly realized how hungry she was. With only a pop-tart to hold her over at breakfast, she was too caught up with the excitement of a new school to eat lunch. A pang of hunger stabbed at her stomach.

"Let's go- I'm starving!"

Jinx exclaimed, following Aphrodite's direction to the mansion.

Aphrodite:
I slip into the back door and lead Jinx into the kitchen. "Sit," I say, pointing at the dining table. Once she was sat I opened up the fridge. "What would you like to eat?"

Jinx sat down at the dining table obediently, zipping her lips closed and throwing away the key. She still enjoyed little metaphors like that, her simplistic mind took it well.

When the fridge was open, Jinx couldn't help but gawk at the variety that stood before her. Back at home, they never had as much as this.

Jinx marveled, not truly believing her eyes. To be honest, she had expected low-grade food from the new school. She should've known by the surreal architecture and building of the school that she was in for a wonderful time.

"You're allowed to use the kitchen here too?"

Jinx squealed, in awe at the privileges students received. She hadn't been allowed to go anywhere near the kitchen or other appliances back at home. Her foster parents had been too judge-mental, assuming that her powers meant that she would bring bad luck everywhere. That was how she received her name, Jinx.

Oliver threw a marshmallow at Jinx's face, "Yes, and I made steaks. There's leftover in the fridge, I think."

I chuck at carrot at Oliver. "Be nice... And yeah.. There are..." I quickly count the steaks. "5 steaks left over." I turn to Oliver. "Did you really make that many?"

Jinx shrieked in fake horror, bursting into a fit of giggles as she launched the marshmallow back in Oliver's path. Steaks sounded good. The last time she had actual meat was... Well, she couldn't quite remember.

Matthew had followed the group quietly into the kitchen, taking a seat behind his sister.

Oliver nodded at Fro, "Yeah, but no one wanted any." He ate the carrot and a couple of flying marshmallows. He threw marshmallows at Jinx's forehead, "I shall nickname you!" He bowed and tapped Jinx's head, "You are Fluffy. Not Jinx. Muahhaa! Fro and Fluffy!" Oliver laughed manically, looking much like a stupid villain.

Jinx said, raising her eyebrows with a cute smile. She laughed at the cheesy maniacal Oliver that stood before her with a grin. She could get used to being called Fluffy.

He laughed again and threw a pink fluffy bear at her. "It's indestructible and will always stay new-looking. I drew it with my power!"

Jinx shook her head, giving the adorable little bear a squeeze. Its puffy pink limbs almost seemed to hug back, the soft material rubbing against her skin with warmth. She teleported in front of Oliver and flicked him lightly with a foolish grin before teleporting back in her seat.

Oliver coloured slightly, before Casey barged into the room. "I'm hungry, got any of those steaks left Olive?"
Oliver pointed to the fridge, and Casey followed it. "Aweeeeeesume! Thanks!"
She nodded to Jinx and Matthew. "'Sup?"
Oliver rolled his eyes and introduced Casey. "Casey, Jinx and Matthew. Matthew and Jinx, Casey."

I sigh and pull out a steak for Jinx. I quietly warm it up and put it on a plate. I set the plate infront of Jinx and look at Matthew. I put both hands on the table and put my face about 3 inches away from his. My eyes sparkle with jokes and I grin. "Anything you want to eat, Matt?"

I hear someone knocking on the door and quickly open it. I see a boy outside and his eyes startle me almost as much as mine seem to startle others. "Hello," I say, tilting my head slightly.
