Well, a blizzard is attacking us right now. I need some help, too. Alright, so I have tropical fish. They need to be kept at a 70 degree temperature or higher... How will I keep them warm while this blizzard is going on? How do I pass the time when the power is out?! I don't exactly know what to do to pass the time when the power's out... Power is everything; games, computer, TV, anything electronic...Also, my dad is coming home on a plane from North Carolina. He boarded at 7:55 and right now it's 9:00... I live in Indiana, so when do you think he'll be home exactly? He also has a two-hour drive to come home through, too, after his plane lands...Ugh! I hate blizzards so much! Why do people like snow? >.< Oh well...

@hay7199That's what I thought. That's what I'm going to do, too đ I hope nothing drastic happens... It would be pretty bad if the weather decided to get really nasty...

@pebblestar_nightclanGlobal warming is whacking up everything here in New York. We had a giant blizzard around October 12th and no more snow since. I suggest you get some batteries and put it in any electronic WORKING WITH BATTERIES. Get some cards, play something like Spit, Slapjack, BS, Chinese poker (XP â¤ī¸), Poker, Solitaire (1p), War, stuff like that. Cards can be very entertaining. I also suggest you get out A CANDLE and A MATCH. All frozen meat or whatnot in your freezer, WILL STAY IN THE FREEZER. Trust me, you do not want to open the refrigerator in this time. Since there's no power, there will be no coldness to keep the freezer going. Close all the windows, and try to cover as much cracks as possible. For the fish, try making friction on the glass or plastic, might work.

It never snows where I'm from âšī¸

Do you have a gas stove? Perhaps you can heat up some water (not severely; heat it on low for a minute or so) and slowly pour it into the tank. I'm not very good with fish, so I have no idea how else to maintain the temperature âšī¸.

this happened to me one. I have turtles though. I put up those heat lamps and once in a while I added (slowly) 1/4 of a cup of warm water. (But take them out first)
