So we have this cove right? Cove, being defined as small bay or coastal inlet.First of all, not all of our critters are water-based so why do we keep them in sand wet places. Poor Yamamagans, little fire ponies :/And another thing! Are they wild critters who only live in our coves and we feed them and show them when it suits us, or are they our pets that live with us and have relationships with us?Are they pets, critters, creatures or wild-animals who only remotely have a connection to our Coves? Because some creatures, like Gidehs or Chiyes don't seem like cuddley fuzzy love critters, while others (Brohus and Alkubs) seems exactly that.Excuse me, it's finals weeks and I'm trying to distract myself from the oncoming doom.

I think it's really about the imagination. Anyone can just grab some rare/random creatures to make themselves look good, yes. But it's about the people who imagine their cove, who have special purposes for their pets, who treasure their creatures in the heart and mind, the people who really love all of their creatures and remember all (or at least almost all) of their names. The people who take amazing care of their creatures and keep so many or so little becasue they can find a plce in their hearts for every single one, who care for the creatures, who don't let them die, who can map out what they think their entire cove looks like and what their creatures personalities are. Yes, it all has to do with imaginaaaaationnnnn. *spreads out hands and creates a rainbow* xDDDD

Rachels explaination makes the most sense. Travels are so they can get out of the Cove, so they don't have problems living in a coastal inlet. Also, I have a lot of passive progression toward Yeeps. On numerous days they have thwarted my ability to nab an alien egg.
