I adore this thread. I'm always splurting out random facts but I can't splurt them out on command...what a nuisance.

Speaking of toilets, it doesn't matter how far away you keep your toothbrush. There is fecal matter in all the air, therefore on your toothbrush, food, pillow, hair, EVERYWHERE.

The myth that dogs are pact animals and must be 'dominated' is completely wrong. Scientist in the 60's studied wolves in the wild and deduced that because dogs are wolves' descendants they must act the same. In reality dogs have evolved to be much different that their wild brethren. Dogs have become more subservient to humans, but that doesn't mean you can let them do whatever!

Hmm, what else can I add right now. Oh! I know. Most childrens' show depict ducks as yellow, whether they are ducklings or grown. Ducklings that are yellow will grow to be white ducks, whereas ducklings that are yellow/black/brownish mix grown up to be the brownish ducks, whose name escapes me.

Forrest Mars Sr. was inspired to create the now famous M&M chocolate candies when he saw soldiers fighting during the Spanish Civil War. The soldiers were eating chocolate pellets with a hard shell of tempered chocolate. This prevented the chocolate inside from melting and them getting sticky fingers.
