I need help. I procrastinate too much. I can't really do anything about it too. My homework is long and boring, so it makes me want to do it less. D:

The extreme is to force family or friends to take away things that could distract you 😉 Or.. promise yourself some prize for finishing things in a certain amount of time o.o

What I do is : play eggcave till dad gets home, and then when dad is home, I do my homework, becuase my dad is Super strict, and always hard on me! SO, I do not even have the chance to procrastinate while my dad is there! And I am really happy my dad is there! It helps a lot!😃

I know! 😃 Set a timer for 10 miuntes. Agree to get half a page done in that time. Then you cna take a 10 minute break. @whitefall I know it sounds childish but it works!

Interesting that you made this topic because I should be studying for a physics quiz. :/ It's so much nicer to procrastinate, at least while you're doing it it is. 😋

Actually, I'd classify myself as more of a perendinator. I've taken it to the next level, haha.

Non-Violent- Give yourself a cookie if you get all your homework done without getting on the computer in between;)

Right now I'm putting off finishing off my persuasive essay for my law class. And studying for my law presentation. And sleeping. GAH. >.<

I usually try to yell at myself (internally). Like, thinking to myself, 'Gosh darn it, Relimez! Get back to work! You know, you only have a few hours until you go to sleep and then school and then you won't have your work done. If you finish your work now, then you can do whatever you want however long you want, and you won't even have to worry about that essay you were supposed to finish! Get back to work! Gosh you're such a lazy brat. Go! You have an essay to write!!!'

... Goodness, I should stop ignoring myself. xD;;

I procrastinate a lot too.

I had a 4-day vacation- Yes, 4 days- to do some homework. a Science MCAS problem, finishing an English Assignment, Finishing a book for a project, some Math problems (Extremely simple fraction reviews), and studying for a Bowling Test in PE; Which I have tomorrow.

I did the Math on Friday.
On Saturday night, I read 69 pages of my book for school.
Then this afternoon, I spent three and a half hours reading the last 120 pages.
I did the Science MCAS at 5:13 pm today.
I still haven't finished the English assignment, bcause luckily I don't have English tomorrow,
And I haven't even started studying for my Bowling Test. D8
It's 9 pm now, so I figure I'll study for the bowling test at for half an hour, then spend another half hour listening to love songs on my mp3 player, just to give me a reason to be happy to go back to school tomorrow; And that reason is to see my crush. 83

I don't know how to stop procrastination... This dang technology is my problem. I was born and am growing up with it, so I can't blame it. I just have more things to myself now and I'm tired and stressed more often these days.

I'd say avoid all technology until you finish your homework, but take some time to chillax and de-stress in between. ^^

@whitefall D: me too. On the weekends I always wait until Sunday night to do my homework, but thankfully on weekdays my mom makes me do it right after I eat a snack. Maybe you should tell your mom or dad to make you do that, too. 😊

Mine takes like....3-4 hours? 5 at most😋
Regular School takes like 1-half an hour...but I take like 2 grades higher than my actual grade level😋

@Whitefall You could...set reminders for yourself?

If you keep saying you'll do your homework in five minutes, but then 20 minutes whiz by, then you could leave reminders. Like, have your alarm go off every 3 minutes until you get up and finally do your homework. Or leave Post-Its around the house saying,

-Don't forget, you have an essay!
-Did you finish your essay yet?
-5paragraph essay! Get to it!
-Did you START your essay?
-Don't leave! Finish your essay! (on your front door)
-No! You cannot eat until you finish that essay! (on the fridge)

Leave them all over the place. Finally, you'll hopefully give in and do your work.
