He started singing a soothing melody in the tongue of Ember, the language of the people of Ember. The language was dying out now, but Drew could remember his mother singing softly to him in his sleep.

Edge offered his hand to pull her up. "I'm not sure why anyone would be this cruel... But there's a safe place, somewhere out here... And Skylar and Sapphire know where that place is... We'll get there, and then... It's smooth from then on. No more zombies will live because all of us will be in hiding," he said, sighing.
