My dad is old for MY AGE. I am only 11 years old and my dad is 59 and going to turn 60 in October. I also have a half-sister who is 31. (She is a half-sister because we have the same father but different mothers.) I also think that it is not normal that my mom is 13 YEARS YOUNGER than my dad.

I don't like having old parents because they are going to die sooner. My dad also has lots of health problems and it takes affect on my life to because I have to take care of him sometimes when he is in pain.

Any comments?!?!

Reminds me of @smithe
She has a half-brother she didn't know she had till only a few years ago.
But I understand about the part about taking care of your dad. I have to take care of my grandpa (he's 72) sometimes because he just got out of the hospital, and still can't really walk or anything. I guess going to Poland will have to wait a few years...

I'm fifteen, my mom is around her fifties.

I HATE thinking and knowing that one day she'll pass away before I know it. I'm terrified. I still remember as a toddler she still looked young, she'd draw and play games with me, now she doesn't do any of those things with me. We just watch movies together and I talk to her about my problems in school. I've already lost two people in my family, I do not want to lose her nor do I want to lose my father, he's still already his fourties though.

@sky

I know, right? as inevitable as it is, it's a scary thought.

My mother is in her late-forties and she's still, understandably, feels lost without her mother. It hasn't been that long, but still, I imagine it's hard no matter how old you are or how much time passes...

Hi there. You shouldent worry yourself. My grandparents are 10 years apart. My mom and dad are both in there 50's and I'm 8+3-6+10-2 it used to make me nervous, but it's okay. Just know that your parents still love you, and you should just have fun with your dad.
