I have a question for all you wonderful drawing people!So, I'm really interested in drawing on the computer. I've been slowly building up my digital artwork tools, and now I have the Adobe CS5 Suite. Now that my birthday is inching forward, I'm thinking about getting a drawing tablet.Of course, my Dad is a bit hesitant for my drawing interests. Most of the drawing tablets he sees are from 200-2,000 dollars. He has a coupon for the Kindle Fire, and wants to get me that instead.Can you use Kindle Fire as a drawing tablet? Is there a stylus you can purchase for it?

@pegasasuI'm not sure what a Kindle Fire is like to use, nor if you can use a stylus, but as far as tablets are concerned;I've owned three tablets over the last few years. The first one was huge, and I didn't like how much room it took up on my desk. The second was good, but extremely cheap and eventually broke.The one I have now (Wacom Bamboo) is fantastic. Had it for a few years and no problems. I bought it for about 40 british pounds, which is absolutely nowhere near $200 (on a currency converter it says it's about $63). If you look in the right places, they're not that expensive. If all you want to do is use it to draw with, there's no point getting an expensive one. It doesn't improve your drawings, because it'll only ever be as good as your talent is. 😊 Hope that helped~

@elluwahAHH! There are so many different Wacom Bamboo Tablets. How is the create different from the capture from the connect? D:

@pegasasuI noticed about how many different types there are. D: I'm not sure about what difference they all have though. If this would be your first tablet, don't get something too expensive. You might not even be comfortable using a tablet straight away anyway, so it'd be best to start with the most affordable one. I really don't advice you spend more just for one that has more "features" (not that I know what those are, I've just noticed that the price seems to increase for certain ones XD), because at the end of the day all it does is put an image on your screen. 😋

@elluwahWhat type of bamboo do you have?
elluwah • 12 February 2012 at 11:22 AM
@pegasasuI was just looking at it now, it doesn't say anything specific. D: That's why I said I have a Wacom Bamboo... because that's all it says on it.I'll show you a pic of mine online;http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41nWNZdWbBL._SL500_AA300_.jpgThe model is "MTE-450A", so if you want you could search it online. It's just an A6 sized tablet though. 😸

@PegasasuDo you have an Iphone/Ipod?
pegasasu • 12 February 2012 at 11:31 AM
@elluwahMm. I was looking at the Bamboo connect but it doesn't say anything about actual drawing on the Connect. I'm bothering my sister to bother her friend, who has gone through a bunch of tablets 😋 The Capture looks pretty good, but my dad thinks it's expensive... ._.'@miomarYup, I have an iPod first gen.
