When I'm bored I guess I make the most random topics. 😋

Sooooo. This one's about your name. Do you like your name? Does it have a story behind it or something? Like.... Idk. XD I wanna see what you guys come up with.

I lurv my name. Of course, it has to be three syllables, and I don't have a nickname yet, but yeah. My name's cool. My parents chose it to reflect my Scandinavian heritage. XP

Come to think of it, I love my name. I really do.

Danielle

Dan-yell.
Dani-elle.

It just slides right off my toungue with its exotic yet tom-boyish beginning and the fancy "e double l e" ending.

I especially love my first and last name, together. Like, if you write them on a piece of paper. All of the e's and l's in them look so fancy together. My first name is French and my last name is Italian, reflecting my strongest nationalities.

It's a somewhat exotic name, but at the same time it's very common because many people find it beautiful.

Before I was born, my mom had wanted an older son and a younger daughter. She said if I was a boy, she would have named me Sebastian. #ThankGodImAGirl

She said she almost named me Penelope, or Kassandra (I would've liked to be named Kassandra though, too).

My mom named me after a princess in a movie she said she loved; I think it was called Ever After; And she hated the name because she used to know a mean girl named Danielle, but loved the name after seeing the movie, and talking about Danielle's personality.

Lately I've picked up this little nickname. Dani. Some people call me Dani on EggCave, and a few boys I know in real life started calling me that a few months ago. November, maybe? I like that nickname because it's new. New to me, that is. Even though Danielle really reflects my personality, Dani reflects it almost as much. And it's a bit tom-boyish, and I'm like that at times. That's not a bad thing.

@dreamer

Well my name is Tiger lol The reason why I picked this is because I am just in love with the species! XD

Fact: I was born in the year of the tiger. 😸

i love the name silver because every since I fell in love with greek mythology, I can't help but recognize Artemis as my favorite major goddess! 😱 Her symbolizing color is silver, and with time, I couldn't help the winning obsession. ><

I hate my name. It's unisex (although it's mostly a male name), it's ugly, and it's awkward. It was my grandmother's middle name, but anyone who names their child after what my name is must be messed up in the brain.

@philomena
If you don't mind me asking, what's your name? .w.

My name is Tanya.
Means Fairy Queen.
My parents picked it because...
It's easy to say~
Typical Indian Names get pronounced wrong all the time xD
Everyone can say Tanya!
I haven't had one person in my life mispronounce it.

I like my name~
It's pretty oWo

Megan.
The "g" makes it awkward.
And my last name just enhances my last name's nasallyness.
I wish my name was like audrey.
Or Emily.
Yup, I have to change my name because currently it doesn't sound stage-namey enough.

@whitefall
T-AN-SHA!!

I MISPRONUNCED IT!!

CHLOE!
And it is awesome.
Everyone spells it wrong, spell it right and no one gets hurt.

My name?

Sopauli
It means Hope.
SO-PAUL-EE

I like it because it's given from my parents, and I'm named after my aunt, which sadly, I've never met.
But because of this name, it comes with lots of nicknames:

Pauly-D, Pauli, Polly Pocket, Popsicle, Popcorn, Pikachu, Piplup, Polly Wally, etc.

I don't have a middle name, so I made mine up.
My initials would be: S.O.S.

._.

I dont like my name, it's Lisa. It just isnt very...unique. It's pretty common, I guess it suits me but I dont really like how it's spelt. It actually has a kind of cute ring to it now that I think of it...

Anywho, my parents were going to call me Peolina (I love that name wayyy better) but their friends and my relatives forced them not too D;

*Que sad music*

I might just change my name to Peoplina when I get older *shrugs*

Janet...

I'm okay with it...

Story: My mom actually wanted to name me after the greek goddess Selene, but then my initials would have been SS and apparently she thought that was 'not done'. T.T I would have soooo preferred that name...

My name is okay.

It isn't bad, but it is really common, which can make it a bit annoying.
There are lots of people with my name, including celebrities, who do...interesting things (which can lead to bad connotations).

Also, a lot of people in my classes have the same name, so it can get a little confusing at times >.<

I love my name. It means light, or bringer of light >.> I shine lol My Dad is Seychellois, they speak Creole (like French, but not) and my mum is English. So my parents chose it because it is French, but British people should be able to pronounce. BIG FAIL. My name is Helene, but I get Heleena, Helena, Helayna, Haylayna, Heleen and Helen. I can cope with all of them except Helen and Helena. Helen, because I am not a Helen. I have no problems with Helens, but I am not a Helen. And my name is clearly not Helen. I hate Helena because I think, "can you not read? Where did you find the a at the end of my name? It isn't there foolish ingrate!!"

I have two middle names. Jeanette (le french, close to Jeasette which was great grandmother's name I think) and Lisa (short for Elizabeth, both my mother's and Grandmother's middle name). So my name has a lot of history. A lot of thought.

@dreamer Urgh, my mum was going to call me Sebastion too. I'm with you. And your name is beautiful.

@whitefall Didn't know it was Indian, learn something everyday. And it is pretty.

@chloekins How do you spell Chloe wrong? But you probably get Cloe a lot right?

@sky That's beautiful

@trish Lol misspelled. I quite like it, it's unique. Sounds pretty too (the way I'm saying it anyway lol)

@dionaea Funny, my name is a derivative of Selene. Janet is a lovely name. I don't know any Janets. SS would have made you seem like a ship.

@lennyangel

Actually I'm Jeannette Henriette officially 😃

And the SS thing had more to do with this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS than with ships :s I like ships 😃

EDIT: This is @dionaea posting from her side by accident DX Switching back to main now...

Tanya;
I like it, it's pretty good considering what I was going to be called;

Story:
My father wanted to call me Wonda. (OMGWUT)
But my mother begged for another name... so he came up with Tanya.

Elizabeth. I adore it. ❤️

Not sure why I was named it, I never asked and nor was I told, but I'm still very happy with it.

I love how many nicknames I can get from it;
Liz, Lizzie, Elly, Eliz, etc.

Liz and Lizzie are the most common nicknames for me though. And whilst my friends view me as more of a "Liz" than an "Elizabeth", I still love my full name and never feel like I should hide it with a nickname myself. ❤️

@dionaea Really? That is super epic 😃 I love it! And my middle name is Jeanette. Oh the cowinky dinkness of that (mine has one less n, does that mean you win?)
Oh, THAT SS......Yeah, I can see why that wouldn't be too fantastic :/ But ships are pretty cool, as long as I'm not on them 'cos I get sea sick
