Viola grimaced as she watched Pixle walk up to her stepdad. "He is a bit unwell at the moment, I'm not exactly sure why but he's improved since yesterday." she admitted.

Noticing the wound had open up again on Pixle's arm she pulled her over before she could reach her stepdad. "I haven't finished dressing your wound yet." she snapped

@stellalunagirl XD no she has her connection with the earth enhanced, so she is also connected with living things, but if you ever watch someone breathe, you can tell if they're breathing differently


Pixle cringed slightly as Viola pulled her over, her arm throbbed as she watched the girl's stepdad, she shivered slightly, her eyes glinted as she pulled up her hood again, lowering her head and re-wrapping the cloth around her mouth and neck

Viola washed the wound out with some alcohol and barely eve flinched as Pixle wailed for a moment. "Sorry" she muttered, reaching for the bandages. "forgot to remind you it stings a little."

Once Viola had cleaned out the wound she grabbed some gauze and began wrapping it around her arm before tearing it off with her teeth. "There." she said, packing away her things.

"I need some answers now." she said looking both Ben and Pixle in the eye.

'I...have magnet...Xavier chasing after me to use agnet for..for his...' she trailed off for a moment 'yo use it for a compas...' she muttered, 'I..he will kill for .... a..a magnett...' she stumbled a bit in her speach, her gaze blank, she didn't seem to mind the sarcasm in Viola's voice. 'I...my name...is Pixel..I was..Testing for...my mind...injured..' she cringed slightly, still un used to talking too much, she couldnt speak correctly anyway. her mind slurred it's thoughts and she cringed, trying to think correctly

Pixle nodded and sighed 'When..the bomb hit...' it took most of her strength to speak correctly and clearly 'I was in ...mediical testing...A brain injury....cant speak well anymore....I..was in a metal warp..box..I had a magnet..it.became uneffected...Xavier was..friend not foe...he want..magnet for compass...magnet is all that's left...' she sighed, breathing slowly as she collected her thoughts again 'when he found I was freak....he tried to kill...and then found out...about magnet... now he...he tries to...kill me..' she trailed off and her gaze glossed over as the truth finally hit her about her friend; he never WAS a friend

BTW its not a bomb.. more like a toxic release but we can edit it.. xD

Viola nodded in understanding. After the initial outbreak of the virus, some Afghan spy managed to get a hold of a sample and used it to construct a bomb. America wasn't as badly affected before the bomb as the authorities were able to contain the virus. It was only till after the first bomb hit when things got serious. Serious, and deadly. Now america lay mostly in ruins, no country even bothered to invade it because it's value had been bled dry.

"you're.. you're like me then." she finally said, smiling slightly

Viola reached out and touched Pixel's arm. "Don't be sorry. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't my fault. Stuff just.." she paused trying to think of a word ".. happens" she finished lamely.

Ben stared at the two girls conversing. Could it be? TWO gifteds in the same room? His dad told him they were incredibly rare but also very powerful and horrible, they didn't seem horrible or particularly evil to him. Ben cleared his throat and the two girls turned and looked at him.

Ben gave a look of surprise when Pixle turned her eyes on him. He gave a shaky smile and avoided her eyes.

Viola turned to Ben. "You're a normal right?"

Ben nodded wordlessly avoiding both the girls's eyes.

"Of course. Are you going to rat us out to DHS?" Viola said narrowing her eyes at the boy.

Ben thought about it for a moment before looking Viola in the eye. "No. I will not." He watched as Viola narrowed her eyes and turned away, looking thoughtful.

"Alright. But if there is a guy who is after you Pixle, this place is not safe any more," Viola said finally, after taking a cautious sniff to verify Ben's truthfulness. "Just when I had settled down.." she muttered under her breath

Pixle swallowed tightly when Viola mentioned even the THOUGHT of having them cheated out, she nodded slightly when she mentioned Xavier chasing after her, shivering slightly, Pixle looked back out the window, her eyes glinted as she glared slightly 'hes.Xavier..is...' she shook her heat a bit and pulled out a small shard of mirror, aiming it right to blind the boy, she smiled slightly and layghed a bit as she turned back.
Xavier yelped slightly as he fell back out of the tree, temporarily blinded by the sudden flash of light from the window.
'Where can we go..' Pixle muttered as she pulled up her hood and closed the blinds quickly, looking back at Viola and Ben.

Viola shook her head. "First, I know a small town East of here that has citizens who are somewhat sympathetic to people like us. Second, we are getting out of here, but you're not coming with me. That psycho of a boy is looking for you. Not me, so you can head along out of here and I'll just take my dad and we'll be on our way. Understood??

'nhk-' Pixle stopped herself before she said anything else 'he need..help..' she mumbled as she pulled her mask back on and headed for the exit, feeling completely rejected as she walked into the shadows of the building, watching the tree.
Xavier crawled out of the bushes and grinned 'HEY PIX' he called across the street as he rushed over and grabbed her arm 'I have direct orders NOT to kill you...until you can find out where these dumb racoons are that keep looting our food, and if you refuse...' he pulled a toothpick out of his pocket, sticking it in the girl's mouth and shooting it so close to her lips, both of them were surprised he didn't shoot her.
Pixle just stayed silent as he dragged her allong
