Yea, my parents speak Khmer. I don't.
They communicate with each other at times in Khmer but I just stare blankly wondering what the heck they're talking about.

I know Japanese and German more than that, which is sad because my parents have been trying to teach me how to speak their language.

I'm Chinese but I was born in NY c:

I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. My parents are trying to teach me how to read and write Mandarin but yeah it's just not gonna happen sorry xD

I know what you mean,every summer my sister (she's 10 years older) tries teaching me lessons from a book and then she quizzes me every weekend. I usually pass the quiz thing but then after a few days when we review what I learned last week my mind will go blank ☹️
