I have a few suggestions that seem to me as though they could make a lot of people's lives on EggCave easier XD. These seem pretty obvious to me so I assume they have probably been said many times, but I'll start a topic on them nonetheless, I'm interested in hearing what people think.*The option to only offer EC in the trading post, without having to offer "at least one egg"I believe this would be quite an improvement, because it would rule out the need for 'junk eggs'. Junk eggs are basically eggs nobody really wants and are only used to get around the at-least-one-egg policy. Their name really says it all, whenever I try to write something to explain this further, the word comes right back to me - junk XD. They're of no real use to the users or to the site. Who likes seeing a million eggs with jibberish names anyways? With this rule ebolished, the overflow of junk eggs would cease and the trading post would REALLY be what it says on the page: "Reserved for eggs that really ARE for trade".*The option to include amounts of EC when CREATING a tradeThe trading post is usually not the place where deals are made, this is done beforehand so it doesn't matter which of the parties is CREATING the trade, it matters that it goes through okay. Having this option would be much more convenient. When doing this, the moderators should not forget to include even '0 EC or eggs' trades (when either creating or offering), because of the amazing invention that are GIFTS XD đ.*more*

agree! đ

@twilight_raptor Thanks đ*rest of text*I know I might be a little bit of a perfectionist and asking for too much, but I really believe that there shouldn't be useless rules that don't really serve as anything other than a nuisance to users and make them have to think of clever ways to get around them. They're rules nobody really abides by and there's no real reason why anybody should, and the moderators should be there to watch out for them and get rid of them. Luckily, the users are there to point them out ^^ đ. (oh goodness, what is wrong with me, I'm so ineloquent today. Please excuse the excessive repetition of pronouns, nouns and points, I can do better but my head hurts and I have to get this out of my system XD then I'll be able to watch Soylent Green in peace XD. OKAAAY, next suggestion...)*still more XD*

wat rules? o.O
karamel • 21 February 2012 at 12:51 PM
@mika_milile That 3rd suggestion... what rules aren't the ones we consider?

*final part**Name swapping- If a user has a creature with a certain name but wants the name on another pet, instead of having to rename the first pet to jibberish (potentially even losing the name in the approximately-2-minute-long(-by-slowest-internet-speeds) window when no pet has it), then renaming the second pet to the wanted name and giving the first pet a normal name (prefferably the one the second one had 'cause frankly, you give good names, you don't like junk eggs because of all the aforementioned reasons XD), thus losing three name changes in the Town Hall (âšī¸), a great option would be name-swapping, which would allow users to pick any two creatures in the same cove and click 'Swap Names', using up only one (or would that be too little? I'm not sure how much strain this would put on the servers, and after all, strain on servers is the cause of all restrictions, so please comment on what you think would be the appropriate number) name change in the Town Hall, which would also eliminate all the drawbacks of the current procedure.Haha, well, that's all for now, tell me what you think! I'll probably update this too, I constantly get ideas like this XDCheers,Mika---------@karamelThe rules, oh I meant the "offer at least one egg" rule, things like that. The site says "Please offer at least one egg", but nobody ACTUALLY offers a pet they'd otherwise like to keep just because the site told them to, they go to the Cave and get a "junk", that's what I meant XD

@mika_milile But it's not a rule where you have to offer one precious egg, and people are still offering something and that's all that matters. As for the last part, I think someone was suggesting it but IDK where. I support that one đ¸

@karamelI know, I didn't mean to say that the site was some sort of tyrant, goodness no XD. I was just talking about how there's really no need to always offer an egg because people make too many junk eggs they don't really want. And THAT'S a strain on the site, which could easily be avoided by removing the "offer-at-least-one-egg" policy, plus it would be much easier to trade. I dunno, I was just talking from experience, on my first ever trade I needed to offer EC but I didn't know I had to offer an egg as well, and I had already used up all my 10 cave visits for the day, so long story short, I think it just makes things unneccessarily messy XD. And it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal to change it.

@mika_milile Junk eggs can also be left to die, it's unfortunate but sometimes it has to be done sometimes đThe point of the "one egg policy" is I think that Ian wasn't looking to trade EC; just creatures, so it's more like "trading" not "gifting". Otherwise it'd be called the "T&G Center" (T = trading; G = gifting).
