(this is kind of a rant, so if you don't want to hear it, don't read it.)
Today things happened to me that I needed to discuss with the people of eggcave.
labeling.
(now im not saying i have never labeled someone, but now that i have been labeled i will make sure i wont do it again since i know how it feels)
on saturday, i got a scene haircut. i am not a scene person. i just like the hair. i dont wear any makeup except for a little mascara.
today i went to school, not caring what people said, since i just wanted to get school overwith as usual. (had no school yesterday)
i got so many compliments, i was pleased, but i didnt really pay any mind to it. then later in the day, i got things like "rocker chick" "punk" "goth" and "emo". i am none of these things. people just assume.
please, please, please, dont label. i wasnt mad at the people that called me these things, but others also sneered at me or stared. its actually hurtful. please think before you speak, because i really didnt appreciate being labeled. i know how it feels now. sometimes people mean these things as compliments, but really, sometimes they arent. and i knew when someone meant it nicely. because the others would stare or sneer and be sarcastic when saying these things.
moral of the story: dont label people.

@pwuffy I know how you feel ☚ī¸ I'm always labeled as that shy quiet girl in the corner Dx

Also, sorry to sound stupid, but what's a scene haircut?

@snow_angel618 :c sorry to hear that.

no its okay xD most people compare it to emo, as they are similar, but scene is just a style whilst emo is a little more than that.
